Bro! The synchronicity of finding this video... for me is Epic! Love it! I really resonated with your description of your journey as I've been on a very similar path for a long long time... getting stuck over and over again. I would go into "positive thinking mode", try different affirmations, visualizations, I've been journaling for more than 3 years now and aways get to the point where when I try to shift my beliefs and focus, or the way I view the world all the "unhelpful" beliefs rise up to challenge the new things I want in my life. I used to get really frustrated at me and at those thoughts and why I was unable to "feel" the way I want to feel about the things I want in my life, or why I was unable to sustain any practice long enough for it to show changes in my life. Recently I came up to the realization that those "negative" thoughts and feelings that pop up in reaction to my intentions for a better life are actually "good".. The way I view it is by changing the focus and intention my unconsciuous mind serves up all the 'barriers" up into consciousness where they can be handled... released or negated. And here is where I am now. Looking for the best way to let go of those unhelpful thoughts and beliefs. I found it interesting that you used anger to surpress your limiting thoughts. I wander if it is a good way to go about it because I feel much more inclined to just acknowledge that these beliefs were useful at some time in my life, they helped me, protected me from some percieved danger and now that I am a grownup I can let go and release without conflict or hate. My thought/feeling is that by fighting the negative thoughts I give them power... that's what consumed probably the last 5 years of my life.. being angry at my limiting beliefs and not being able to make progress. I wonder what are you thoughts on that?
